Harrison directed a play "The Tragedy of Blue Beard" which had been written by Mary Duckworth, a University Extension student, as a retelling of the story of Bluebeard through a classical lens, with a cast composed of "factory girls". Ticket proceeds donated to the restoriation of St Andrews Hall in Bethnal Green. The play was reprised in Exeter in summer 1896. (English)
