Wallis's watercolour drawings of Viking grave goods from the Isle of Colonsay, Scotland and the original illustrations for Plates XLVII and XLVIII of Vetusta Monumenta Vol 6 were lent by the Society of Antiquaries Council. These were among a group of Wallis's works exhibited. (British English)

The illustrations, of the lower and upper covers of a M.S. Book of the Gospels in the Library of the Earl of Ashburnham, were produced by Rosa Wallis in 1880, then published in Vestuta Monumenta in 1883. They accompanied the paper 'The Golden Jewelled Covers', by Alexander Nesbitt, FSA. (English)
The Society of Antiquaries Executive Committee noted 12 November 1885 that a sum of £26.5.0 was to be paid to Wallis for drawings. (English)
